Navigating Grief and Rediscovering Happiness
We live in faith. We are taught that we should replace our fear with faith. But what happens when some of your biggest fears are realized? After the loss of her son to drug use and a string of other trials that followed, Shaunna has been on a journey to answer this question and find joy. Emerging from a cloud of sorrow and crisis of faith, she wishes to help others on their journey to tackle those “trials in piles” and continue to walk by faith in consistently calling upon a personal and loving God.
Life can be full of unexpected challenges, and sometimes those challenges can feel overwhelming. Whether it's the loss of a loved one, a job, or a dream, it's easy to feel lost and alone. We may wonder how we can ever find joy again after experiencing such a loss.
It's important to remember that grief is a process, and everyone's process is different. However, it is possible to find joy again after a loss. One way to do this is to lean on our faith. As we navigate through difficult times, it's important to remember that we are not alone. We can call upon a personal and loving God for comfort and strength.
Another way to find joy after a loss is to focus on gratitude. Even in the midst of difficult circumstances, there are still things to be grateful for. Maybe it's a kind word from a friend or a beautiful sunset. By focusing on the good things in our lives, we can begin to see the beauty that still exists in the world.
It's also important to take care of ourselves during times of grief. This can mean taking a walk in nature, writing in a journal, or simply taking time to rest. By practicing self-care, we can begin to heal and find joy again.
Finally, it's important to remember that everyone's journey is unique. It's okay to take as much time as we need to grieve and heal. By acknowledging our feelings and giving ourselves grace, we can begin to find joy again, even after the most difficult of losses.
In conclusion, finding joy after a loss is possible. By leaning on our faith, focusing on gratitude, practicing self-care, and giving ourselves grace, we can begin to heal and find joy once again. Remember that you are not alone, and that there is hope for a brighter tomorrow.
